Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association

In 2017, the USA Hockey affiliate for New Jersey, Delaware, and Eastern Pennsylvania approached Fuerza with a challenge - help modernize the amateur side of the sport in collaboration with NHL partners and change commonly held perceptions of the game.

Over the past seven years, we’ve worked closely with leaders in the sport, focusing on amplifying the growth of girls hockey, expanding opportunities in underserved geographic areas, and promoting participation in the disciplines of disabled hockey. A robust marketing and communications campaign rooted in consistent messaging through digital channels has helped exceed these goals.

We are currently supporting continued work towards these goals, as we continually adjust and identify new areas across the hockey space to promote players getting onto the ice and enjoying the fastest game around.

Destination Ridgewood

The Village of Ridgewood has faced a challenge similar to many other downtown business districts in northern New Jersey. As the municipality began exploring a new Special Improvement District (SID) eligible for state grants and programs, members of the local business community wanted to showcase how collaboration between organizations could support overall growth.

Fuerza was brought in to define a brand and voice for the future SID and lead a three-month paid marketing program that reached into surrounding communities for the return of the Pedestrian Plaza. The marketing trial determined the viability for the SID and further work is being performed to establish the underlying organizational structure by the municipal government.

ATLANTIC YOUTH
HOCKEY LEAGUE

When the Atlantic Youth Hockey League was looking to modernize its marketing mechanism, it turned to a Gen Z led firm to take it onto platforms that had never before been utilized by comparable leagues. Over the years, Fuerza has helped expand the league's reach, meeting players and their families on the platforms they use each day.

These efforts have elevated the standing of the league as the premier Tier-I hockey association on the East Coast. In January of 2023, the league launched a TikTok account as the first amateur hockey league to do so. One of the first videos posted on the account achieved a reach of more than a million views.

Fuerza continues to provide support to the league, including a fully-live All Star Game that showcases top talent to scouts from across the country.
